Ata Khatib is the Chairman, Partner and founding member of Lockton MENA.

He began his career in the Lloyd’s market in London as an energy broker before joining Lockton in London in 2008. In 2009 Ata co founded Lockton MENA in the UAE with his late father, Wael Khatib. Since then, Ata has held various key roles within Lockton MENA all the while actively setting the foundations of Lockton’s client focus approach to business. He has further been instrumental in shaping the company’s regional presence across MENA. In his current role as Chairman he continues to be actively involved with advising clients on their insurance and risk management needs with a particular expertise in the energy sector.

Ata is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Insurance and Risk Management.
